People are certainly important, but it is the policies the government is implementing that define it
Statement by AKEL C.C. Spokesperson Stefanos Stefanou on the government reshuffle
AKEL C.C. Press Office, 1st December 2019, Nicosia
The much advertised reshuffle by the President of the Republic has taken place. The people are certainly important, but it is the policies the government is implementing that define it.
It is well known that a great divide separates AKEL and the Anastasiades-DISY government because of the policies it is pursuing. In its seventh year in power, the government has not once shown any sign that it intends to change its anti-social and conservative policies which have taken Cyprus back many years.
As far as the new Ministers are concerned, they will be judged by what they achieve.
